Freshmen Move In Project

If you are going to be involved in H2O’s Freshmen Move-In Project, then here is the info that you need!

  • You are allowed to move in to your residence on campus on THURSDAY, August 21st.  You MUST be completely moved in by 5:00pm on the 21st.
  • We will have a TEAM MEETING on Thursday evening at 7:30pm.  Location TBA.
  • Team breakfast is at 7:30am in the Caff.  We will meet in the Gillmor lobby and enter the Caff as a team.  We will have to make this a quick breakfast, because we will need to be at our designated locations shortly after 8:00am.
  • We will leave breakfast in our teams headed to our assigned residence halls.
  • Our goal is to be completely finished by 1:00pm.  However, it may take till 2:00pm.  Either way, each person on this team is responsible for staying and completing our tasks.
  • Each person working on this project will receive Co-Curricular Credit.
  • After the project is completed, if the Caff is still open, we can grab lunch in the Caff.

Things to remember:

  • Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
  • Be very encouraging and welcoming to our new freshmen and their families.
  • Our ultimate goal is to help as many freshmen move into his/her new residence as possible.  The less the families have to physically work, the better.  We want this to be quality time between the freshmen and their families, NOT having to worry about getting a vehicle unloaded.
  • Have a positive attitude.  And be willing to help wherever…whenever.
  • We are a team…which means we will succeed as a team.
  • There will be a Team Leader at each Residence Hall, and one Team Leader responsible for the Cul-De-Sac.  Team Leaders are responsible for their team’s performance.
  • We will discuss final details on Thursday night at our Team Meeting.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to serve.  We are Dragon Nation Strong!  I’m very proud of each of you!
