Operation: Friends From Afar
Join H2O this semester as we reach out way beyond our campus for ministry into the Middle East! Our OPERATION: Friends From Afar Project is gathering school supplies for the children of Afghanistan. Our heart is to share the Gospel around the globe, and this is a wonderful opportunity to continue our ministry to the next generation. Here’s how you can help. When we return from Spring Break, during our first week back, H2O is going to have a table set up in the Student Center during our Lunch and Supper hours. We’re asking you to bring by your donations of school supplies during those scheduled times. Or you can also drop them off at H2O either on Thursday or Sunday during H2O’s regular meeting times in Chisholm Auditorium.
If you don’t have an opportunity to pick up any of the supplies on the list, no worries! We will also be accepting donations during these times as well! Those monies gathered will be also be used to purchase more school supplies for the children.
Here’s what you can bring:
Crayons – Coloring Books – Pencils – Paper – Pens – Scissors – Backpacks
If you have any questions, please see Samantha Bacon, Misty Wheeler or Pastor Jim. Please join us as we seek to impact our world! #h2o4life

Prayer Wall 2012
We have just completed on of our largest ministry projects of the year on our campus! For one week, we set up a table in our Student Center and had students man the table during the lunch and dinner hours, which gave all students on campus an opportunity to stop by. Our students were given an opportunity to write down their prayer requests and have them posted on the Student Center wall and we were also available to immediately pray with those students if they so desired.
It also provided opportunities for students and staff to drop by throughout the day, read and pray over the posted requests. As you look at our photos, each ‘praying hands’ cut out represents one prayer requests. We’re overwhelmed at what we witnessed in our students through this project. We’re already gearing up to do this same type project this coming Fall Semester 2012.
Harmony House Service Project
We’re pleased to adopt Harmony House in Findlay, Ohio this semester for one of our ministry service projects! Harmony House is a non-profit Visitation Center for families that are struggling with domestic violence and rape crisis situations. Harmony House provides a monitoring center for these families to begin to put the pieces of their lives back together.
Our service project for them was gathering everyday items that are needed to maintain this center, such as paper towels, mops, cleaning supplies, coloring books, pencil sharpners, etc! And our H2O Family came out in full force! A HUGE Thank You to each and everyone that donated to this project!
Stay tuned for more posts of our service projects this semester!

Looking forward to our second Communion together in the Spring! If you would like to participate, we’ll be posting notices on Twitter and Facebook!
